Blotches from chemical peel after I got a facial?

Hi there. It’s hard to answer that question not knowing the type of peel you had. However, if you had a chemical peel such as a Jessner type then yes that’s expected. Dark spots get darker a day or two after the treatment and slough away as your dead skin peels away.

I do not recommend getting a facial for 10 days after doing a chemical peel. This is typically in the consent forms and some other items to refrain from when getting a chemical peel is retinoids, waxing, tweezing and picking at the skin. I would recommend that you go back to your provider because there are some skincare products that can assist in healing the skin and treating the brown spots.

The brown spots may or may not go away when the face peels, but in
either case, it sounds like the peel was a bit aggressive and that your
practitioner's response to it is a bit nonchalant. I would recommend
having this person pay more attention to you if it does not heal well.

If you experienced some burning that led to pigmentation, then a
medical grade chemical peel may help. You may also benefit from using
a bleaching agent with hydroquinone or kojic acid as well.
