Can IPL treatment worsen rosacea?

Had my first ipl with lumenis M22 6 weeks ago. On day 3 I developed increased redness, blotchiness, larger pores and "orange peel" look to my cheeks. It has not improved. Wondering if there are any treatments for this adverse effect.

Hello. While we are not sure why the IPL would have made your situation
worse, it is not the ideal machine for you. IPL is a very generic
treatment and you should seek out a practitioner that uses the pulsed
dye lasers, which are the gold standard for Rosacea, port wine stains
and other vascular conditions.

If the IPL treatment was done correctly it should only improve the Rosacea and not worsen it. I am not sure what happened but you should wait at least 2 weeks to see what happens.
