I thought by now these would go away? They told me 5 to 10 days. I’m so worried I’ve created more spots than I had before...Is this normal?
I had IPL on my face and décolletage. It’s been six days and the very light freckles became black spots. I’m worried my décolletage now is a bunch of black spots and they are not going to go away. They just seem like really black freckles. And I had a very tiny dot by my nose (which was a broken blood vessel) and now it is large, dark and red.

If your freckles darkened after IPL, you have had a very successful treatment. This is just want we want to observe after treatment. Several weeks after treatment, these darker freckles will lighten or disappear.

Hello!
It is normal for dark spots to darken after IPL treatments. In some cases, it may take over two weeks for them to lighten. You may always assist the healing process by keeping your skin hydrated, this helps the cell turn over.
If your skin is scabbing, do not pick at it as this will cause scarring.
