Cellulite Treatment

Does VelaShape remove cellulite? Are there really no incisions involved? It sounds too good to be true.

We use Velashape in our office and it does greatly help with mild-to-moderate cellulite. It Is a suction device that treats with radio frequency (heat). There are no incisions. We use another device called "Profound," manufactured by the same company who makes the Velashape, for more severe cellulite. This device has probes which do inject into the patient, but on a very shallow basis. Cellulite treatment is ongoing as it will return. Most of our patients return every six months or so for a maintenance round of treatment. Adrienne Stewart MD FAAD
