Does botox work on dark under eye circles?

I was wondering if Botox or any other procedure would help with dark circles under my eyes. They look really bad, and I really need to address this issue. Thank you.

No. When used for cosmetic indications, Botulinum toxins are, primarily, used to reduce facial expression lines by limiting muscle movement. If treatment is maintained on a continuous basis, it will also reduces the appearance of wrinkle lines (lines that remain with no muscle movement or facial expression).

Dark circles are often associated with protruding lower eyelids as a result of some accumulation of excess fatty tissue. If the latter is present, removal of these fat pads can reduce the appearance of these circles. If the problem is due to actual darkening of the skin, a resurfacing procedure (chemical peeling or laser) may be utilized.

I'm sorry but no. Botox is used for wrinkles around the eyes. Dark circles are an accumulation of blood under the skin's surface, and is usually a cultural or hereditary thing. Facial creams can sometimes help, but for the most part they are a permanent situation.

Botox does not work for this problem. Under eye circles are caused by a loss of fat underneath the eyes. To resolve this issue, you would need to replace the loss of volume with a dermal filler. I prefer either Restylane or Perlane, depending on the patient.
