My eye shape changed after I had Botox. They are now smaller and hold a very different shape. Are the changes permanent?

My eye shape has change for the worse. They look smaller with saggy lids after 12 units Botox in my forehead and temples. I've totally changed the shape of my eye shape and size. My eyes had an exotic look and now that's lost. I saw the change happen in my left eye first and now my right eye has caught up. my left eye also has extra sagging in the lid giving them a lopsided appearance. Will my cat eye like shape and size return? If so how long? Is there any chance of permanent change?

Once the Botox wears off (after 10 to 16 weeks), your eye shape will return completely back to normal. The Botox will not cause any permanent change.

This can sometimes happen with Botox. The affect will wear off in about 3 months. It sounds as though the practioner either did not place it properly or had used too many units.

So sorry for this bad result! Botox is not permanent so that's the good news! Depending on your body's metabolism it can take anywhere from 3-4 months to return to normal and for the Botox to go away. Your Botox injector will need to know this so that it doesn't happen again! And remember not all injectors are considered "expert injectors" even if they have an MD behind their name!

The typical effects of botox last three months or so. After the botox wears off your eye should gradually return to its original appearance.
