If I am a diabetic, can I still have the PureLipo procedure?

I would like to have fat removed from my midsection and around the waist. Is it safe to proceed with the PureLipo procedure if I have diabetes?

PureLipo is an actual surgical liposuction treatment performed without anesthesia (local tumescent anesthesia is injected in the treatment area, but you are awake).. I know of no prohibitions vis-a-vis diabetes, but obviously you should check with your diabetic doctor. I do not perform this type of lipo any longer because we have such great results with noninvasive procedures like CoolSculpting, Vanquish and Ultra Shape, which are less dangerous. We have treated many diabetic patients with these machines without problems, although we do keep a close eye on blood sugar levels and have juice and snacks on hand.
