Thank you for sharing! There are 5 steps which I recommend to all of my patients seeking a proven and effective skincare regimen. Its abbreviated CEAMP, short for Cleanse, exfoliate, activate, moisturize and protect! If you have a greasy complexion, your goal is to reduce the flow of sebum making its way to the skin’s surface. However, you won’t accomplish that by dehydrating your face with alcohol based toners because this only rids your skin of the oils sitting on top; it won’t stop your sebaceous glands from producing more oil. Try using our alcohol-free toner instead to maintain your skin’s pH. Additionally, a good exfoliator is a key ingredient of healthy, radiant skin. If you have oily skin, I suggest using salicylic acid like our advanced acne solution since it’s gentle and stimulates cell turnover and unplugs pores while still being gentle. The third step is Activate. By putting on antioxidants and anti-agers after you’ve polished your skin, you allow their active ingredients to penetrate deep into the tissue for a long-lasting, glowing effect. Vitamin C is a key part of ant skincare routine and combining it with a powerful antioxidant like glycolic acid may increase levels of vitamin C that permeate the tissue. You can try out Dr. Copeland’s revitalizing formula with vitamins C & E. Now the 4th step: Moisturize. A good moisturizer is the key to soft skin. Moisturizers fall into two categories: humectant and lubricant. Hyaluronic acid is a common humectant that works by drawing out water from the air onto the skin and into the cells, keeping them moist. Lubricants add an extra layer of protection to skin by trapping existing water in the cells. Olive oil is a great lubricant as it has beneficial polyphenols and fatty acids which add a protective shield to the skin’s surface. Note that when using toners and AHA products, a moisturizer is a crucial to keeping the skin soft so that over-drying doesn’t occur. Finally, there is the 5th step: Protect. SPF is a crucial part of any skincare regimen. Sun-exposed skin can be damaged by the harmful UV rays. Applying Dr. Copeland’s SPF trusted formula to exposed areas of skin when going outside is an important step to ensure full protection. My microdermabrasion skincare treatment contains an enriched blend of exfoliators gently but effectively sloughs off dull cells, frees pores of impurities, and helps correct environmental damage. Mechanically deep-cleans the skin with natural particles and AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), penetrating the surface for deep exfoliation. Restores, rejuvenates, and renews the skin without flaking. Dr. Copeland’s honey almond scrub is a great exfoliator that gently removes dead cells while replenishing the skin, leaving skin feeling clean and refreshed. Its therapeutic Honey ingredient is effective at treating skin inflammations such as eczema. Great for all skin types – ideal for oily or acne-prone skin. Check Additionally, you can try Dr. Copeland’s The Acne Basics Kit which will get you started on the path to clear skin. Used with a daily regimen of cleansing, toning and exfoliating, these products are formulated to help treat acne and prevent future outbreaks, without drying.

I’m not sure if you are referring to large pores or actual scarring, but you could improve either with a series of peels or micro-needling. We use the SkinPen at our office to reduce pore size and help retexture the surface of the skin. You may want to consult with an experienced esthetician to discuss a skin care routine for home care that will balance your skin. Our patients convey getting great results with the regular use of SkinMedica products.

I'm 30 years old. It's been like this since December 2016. I saw a doctor in April 2017 (before I realized the connection between sugar & the outbreaks) who took pictures and sent them to a dermatologist, and eventually prescribed Dermovate, saying that it may be eczema or dermatitis. While Dermovate helps with the sores & blisters, it doesn't explain why this happens if I eat the foods I mentioned. Nobody else in the house has this reaction eating the same foods.

I have a wart on my finger. I tried to use a wart remover pad but it didn’t work. Now the skin around the wart has redness and pain. I’m not sure if this is because I replaced the pad every day instead of every 48 hours. Due to COVID-19, I don’t want to go to the clinic at this moment. So, I’d like to know if it’s ok not to go to see a doctor until 2 or 3 months later. Thank you very much! ^_^
