IPL (intense pulsed light) always consists of broadband light - different manufacturers will distinguish their broadband light with different terms such as BBL, FPL, etc.

Broadband light is not laser light. A laser emits light of a single wavelength - it is also collimated and is directional. Broadband light consists of a range or 'band' of wavelengths that is determined by filtering the light. It is not collimated and is not directional.

There is really no significant difference between BBL and IPL as to
how they work when used on the skin. BBl is an IPL system produced by
a company called Sciton. I do feel that the BBL is the best IPL system
on the market as it allows for much wider treatment options and allows
the physician to customize the treatment to the patient more than
other systems.

I really am not sure. You have to remember there are 100s of lasers all with their own unique name.

There are many lasers in a single category that all do the same thing but have different names. IPL is a Broadband of Light.

My feelings are that these are all different names of lasers that do the same thing.

They are the same. Just different names used for marketing purposes.
