I have used "Laser Genesis" on patients with rosacea in the past. I think it shows a very modest improvement for the redness and I have had better luck with other choices. The gold standard for the vascularity form rosacea is the 595nm laser. It ends to leave circular
bruises called purpura but works well. I tend to use the Sciton BBL for treatment of the flushing and vascularity. It has the advantage of not causing the purpura but it will take more treatments. I tell my patients to plan on 2 to 3 treatments. One of the most important thing to remember is that there is no cure for rosacea and all of the topicals and lasers only control the symptoms. You will need further treatments down the road but we can not predict how often you will need treatments. It is very important to take care of your skin by minimizing sun exposure and using a good sun block every day.
