EVLT and ELVes are essentially the same endovenous laser treatment for the saphenous vein. The difference in the name is due to different companies calling a similar procedure by different names.

They are similar. The EVLT was the first trade name for the Endovenous Laser Ablation / Treatment .
ELVes and EVLT are both laser procedures but use different wave lengths to get the job done, and both do a good job. I use both the 1470 ELVes and the 810 EVLT in my practice. The ELVes has the advantage of being a more gentle laser with much less bruising and less post op pain. The EVLT is better for very large veins over 2cms.

Essentially they are the same. ELVeS uses a laser wavelength of 980nm and EVLT use 840nm Laser wavelength. Most physicians report that they work equally, and well for Greater Saphenous Vraicosity.
