What is acne rosacea, and what is the best Acne Treatment for it?

Regular acne, or acne vulgaris, is typically identifiable by not only having papules and pustules, but also heavily clogged pores and blackheads. When one is suffering from acne rosaces, they will have a flushed, red appearance to the skin, sometime with papules and pustules, but will not typically have clogged pores/blackheads. If you have overall redness/distended capillaries, using regular acne products on your skin will make your rosacea worse.

Acne Rosacea and Acne are 2 different entities and should be considered 2 entirely different problems with very different treatments. Acne Rosacea is a problem of increased vascularity in the face especially in the nose and cheeks. It causes redness and in more severe cases it has red bumps which look like acne. Acne Rosacea is light and heat sensitive. It is also worsened by alcohol especially red wine and spicy foods which increase blood flow through the capillaries unlike acne which is not affected. The best
treatment is IPL which targets the red blood cell in the blood vessels. The IPL essentially heats the blood vessels which shrinks it down causing less blood to flow through making it less noticeable.
