Is it possible to have discoloration and slight swelling under my eye 2 months after Voluma X injections? Will it dissipate eventually?

The "swelling" is most likely the product rather than swelling. Swelling may last several days after the injection, but would not last for 2 months after. If it looks lumpy or swollen, there is a solution. Reversing or removing the Voluma can be done with hyaluronidase (Vitrase).

For the area that looks discolored under the eye, this may be a condition called hemosiderin staining. If you are a medium or dark skin type, this long-term darkening can occur after deep bruising. The solution at our practice is Q-switched lasers.

If there was never any swelling and discoloration before the injection, it is possible that the Voluma was injected too superficially. If this is the case, then it will stay until it starts to dissolve on its own. If the product is palpable superficially, then an antidote can be injected to remove it quickly.
