Is Blue Light therapy more effective than IPL as an acne treatment?

I've tried intense pulse light therapy to try to get rid of my acne, but it wasn't as effective as I'd hoped. Is Blue Light therapy a better choice for this particular condition?

It's difficult to say which acne program is going to work for you because different programs work for different patients and there are no guarantees for any acne treatment.

In addition to Blu-U treatments and IPL, you may want to consider others. The Blu-U and IPL are designed to kill acne bacteria which is temporary, but they have no effect on the sebaceous (oil) glands, which can represent much of the acne problem for patients. To shrink the sebaceous (oil) gland, you may want to consider laser treatments (neither the Blu-U or IPL is a laser) or even Accutane if your acne is severe enough.
