Sagging jowls are the result of reduced elasticity of the skin (that occurs with aging), reduced volume of fat in the skin (that occurs with aging) and gravity.

Botulinum toxins (of which several are available) do not reverse aging or defy gravity. These agents inactivate muscles to prevent the appearance of facial expression lines. Unfortunately, jowls will not be eliminated with botulinum toxins.

Dysport is similar to Botox and is typically used to weaken the muscles that cause wrinkles. Sagging jowls are a result of tissue laxity and skin laxity. Typically, this is only addressed with either laser resurfacing (if minimal) or a mid-facelift and neck lift (if significant).

Dysport should never be used to treat the sagging jowls. Usually, this area can be improved by adding volume to the cheeks or other areas through the use of some type of filler. I would recommend a consultation to discuss your options further.
