Triniti versus Similar Treatments

Triniti is among the most progressive of non-invasive cosmetic treatments aimed at reducing the signs of aging and rejuvenating the skin. This treatment uses a combination of various cosmetic aids to yield better results. Triniti combines laser light (UV) and radio frequency waves. As a result, the facial skin is worked upon in multiple ways. The deeper heating of the skin catalyzes the synthesis of collagen that helps to tighten the skin. Combining infrared and radio waves also means that heat energy is absorbed across every kind of facial tissue. However, some people may not need such a comprehensive form of treatment or might need a cosmetic treatment that is better suited for addressing some typical issues.

SkinTyte

SkinTyte works by simultaneously cooling and heating the collagen deposits in the facial skin. The heating is deeper and to a much larger extent than the cooling, which is limited to the outermost surface of skin (epidermis). This treatment uses infrared light for heating the dermal collagen.

The infrared light is delivered in the form of short controlled pulses. Before and during the treatment, the epidermis is systematically cooled. The concurrent heating and cooling of collagen induces a combined effect of denaturing and contracting the collagen fibers, stimulating collagen synthesis to a greater extent.

Skin Tyte vs. Triniti

This procedure uses only infrared light for treating the deeper layers of the skin. Unlike the comprehensive heating achieved through Triniti, Skin Tyte aims to concentrate the heating below the skin's surface. A big advantage of the simultaneous cooling is that there is no fear of surface damage to the skin.

Nearly every cosmetic treatment that involves heating of the skin involves some degree of blushing, and an underlying fear of harming the surface of the skin due to excessive heating. This is particularly true for people who have sensitive skin or skin that has an active acne condition. This also makes SkinTyte better suited for skin rejuvenation needs among people who are suffering from:

  • Erythema
  • Rosacea
  • Telangiectasia

The adjacent cooling ensures a part of the collagen fibers are partially coagulated. This means a more immediate skin-tightening effect with SkinTyte, although both treatments yield similar results in terms of long-term stimulation of collagen synthesis.

IPL: Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

This is a highly specialized anti-aging treatment that is very similar to Triniti, but offers some unique features. IPL treatments use the concept of selective photothermolysis. This means that when light pulses are used to heat the inner layers of skin, the heat induces a minimal degree of damage that yields various forms of cosmetic improvements.

The heating of collagen fibers causes expansion and minimal breaking of some fibers, stimulating collagen synthesis in the heated zone. The effects of conditions such as spider veins are visibly reduced because the heating is able to soothe the dilated blood vessels to some extent.

IPL vs. Triniti

IPL uses only broad-spectrum light pulses rather than infrared and radio waves. The IPL technician is able to select the appropriate wavelength to allow maximum penetration and heating of various layers of the skin. Note that absorption of light among different tissue layers is largely dependent upon their pigments, because every pigment is oriented towards retaining light pulses of a particular wavelength.

Further customization is possible in the form of various light pulses used in IPL that offer typical functions. For instance, the PhotoDerm PL that is meant for pigmented lesions can be combined with EpiLight, which is aimed at hair removal. This means combining facial rejuvenation with hair removal during the same IPL session. Such customization is not associated with Triniti.
