Necrotizing FasciitiscThis is a rapidly extending infection with destruction of tissue in the fat and muscles. It can be fatal. It involves redness, tenderness, and swelling similar to that seen in cellulitis. The patient is extremely sick. Treatment:Oral antibiotics are required.
