Is hypo-pigmentation a common side effect of IPL treatments?

I have fair skin with a lot of freckles.

Hypopigmentation is not a usual side effect in those with fair complexions but IPL will, usually, very effectively, remove freckles, making the skin appear lighter in color.

Hypopigmentation is not a common side effect of IPL treatments for fair skinned patient. Perhaps a little redness or flakiness after treatment, but not hypopigmentation.
