How many Chemical Peels are required to remove mild pitted acne scars?

Chemicals peels are not the ideal treatment to remove pitted acne scars. I would recommend a fractional CO2 or erbium YAG instead for optimal results.

Unless you are willing to undergo very extensive deep peels which have significant downtime associated with it, you would be better served in looking at Fractional Laser treatments such as Fraxel which is designed to
stimulate collagen growth by thermal damage to the deep dermis. The downtime is essential 24 to 48 hours and after a series of four to five treatments you will see significant improvement.

It's unlikely that you will not get rid of pitted acne scars with a chemical peel unless it is an extremely deep peel with general anesthesia and much downtime (1-2 weeks at least). Some other (and potentially better) options include the treatments below.

Laser Resurfacing (CO2, Erbium, Fractional)
Punch Excision
Subcision
Dermabrasion
