The length of time in which you will use the Cosmelan 1 cream will be determined by the patient's individual problems and whether the patient has sensitive skin or not, particularly as it relates to Retin A or Hydroquinone. Usually, Cosmelan is left on for 8-12 hours before it is washed off.
