Do you need to get Botox before laser procedure?
I am considering getting a laser procedure and so is my friend, but the specialist she consulted with suggested she get Botox first. Mine, on the other hand, did not. Do you recommend Botox before a laser procedure?

This is totally up to the patient. Botox is utilized cosmetically to relax facial muscles so that they are less able to form lines and wrinkles. Most laser procedures are administered to achieve some level of facial resurfacing and repair. The two procedures are not really interrelated. I certainly do not require patients to receive Botox treatments prior to laser treatments, although almost without exception those patients seeking laser treatments are already Botox patients.

The timing of Botox is variable and based on individual patient and provider preferences.
