Would lipo suction be suitable for me? I am 60, not overweight but my neck/chin region is no longer angular.

What happens to the skin on the neck and under the chin/jaw when the fat is removed? At 60 isn't the problem one of muscle laxity? The doctor insists neck/chin lipo would be successful for me and that the muscle lifts as the skin re attaches.

Liposuction on the chin and jowls can definitely work when there is mostly fat with some loose skin for chin and jowls. When there is more loose skin, and or there is loose skin through the whole jaw line, Face Tite is the best solution. Face Tite uses radio frequency energy to tighten the skin and it can give near facelift and necklift results.

With the laser liposuction it will melt and remove the fat in the along the
angle of the mandible giving you a defined jaw line. While this happens the
skin will tighten. Some people do have muscle laxity but this will show as
neck bands which are clearly visible if you have them. In that case, you
will need a neck lift. The laser lipo has no effect however on muscle
laxity.
