When Accutane is not a option for adult acne what are other options?

Accutane is not a option for me and I have tried many antibiotics. What are my options for severe acne? I have heard about laser treatment. Does it work? I am 29 and I have dealt with this for 6-7 years now. What can I do besides live on meds forever

Because our specialty is laser procedures, we will discuss that option. We treat many adult acne patients successfully with laser treatments. For our acne patients (teens and adults together) we have an 80%satisfaction rate based on our patients surveys, which are given to every patient. With that said, it's important to understand that there is no cure for acne and what works well for one person, may not work for another. It's also important to understand that acne is a condition that is managed rather than cured and so our patients may have to come back in the future for additional treatments.

We believe in our laser acne treatment program and they offer an excellent option for patients in your situation.

Yes, you are correct. It is difficult to take antibiotics for years for acne and some people can not take Accutane. There are several lasers available to treat acne. These lasers are very effective and are painless.

A few treatments can often get you acne free for a year at a time. The N Lite Laser (a pulsed dye laser), Photofacial (IPL Also known as Intense Pulse Light) and Omnilux (LED with Red and Blue lights) have been very effective as an alternative treatment for acne.
