Melanoma is a form of skin cancer, often fatal if not discovered at an early stage. Skin lesions could be anything. Melanoma is normally manifested as an irregular mole. You should see a board-certified dermatologist for any of these types of concerns.

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer; it is a skin lesion. Any lesion on your skin is a "lesion." Melanoma is a type of lesion and one of 3 types of skin cancer, and it is the one that can spread throughout the body.

NdYag laser treatment for redness/broken capillaries on the bridge of my nose resulted in blistering. That healed well in about 10 days. But I now have both PIH (browning) & PIE (redness) at the site of the healed blister. It’s persistent & won’t go away. It’s been 6 weeks & nothing seems to help. Been treating with Aquaphor & silicon gel (plus constant sunscreen). What can I do to safely even out the color? Is it too soon to lighten? Should I consider Vbeam? How long should I wait?
