Bleaching creams and laser treatments can both help with this problem. When considering the question of which treatment to use, you must address whether or not active acne is causing the problems. If you get rid of the spots with one of the treatments mentioned but are still getting lots of active acne, then you will continue to get the spots. It's the difference between treating the symptom (spots) vs. treating the underlying condition (acne). You may need to consider how to treat the active acne because if you get rid of this problem, you will not
longer have the spots.

The only way to improve acne scars is by using a strong, deep laser that resurfaces the skin. You have several choices. The most popular are fractionated CO2 or fractionated erbium yag lasers. They can give you up to 70% improvement. You may need 1 or several treatments. I would advise you to see an acne scar specialist who performs these types of lasers to discuss the details of the procedure.

Hello! I'm 18 years old and I just started taking birth control for my acne. I usually break out pretty bad the week before my menstrual cycle and my skin scars very easily so my skin looks really bad. I am usually able to get clear skin after my period if I wash it and put scar cream, but then I break out and scar again. I was very hesitant to try birth control so I did some research and I got even more scared. I decided to give it a try anyway to see how it would affect my skin and I havent seen a difference at all. If anything my skin is probably a little bit worse. I am on my first pack of the pill.

    (1 answer)
I had a pimple on my face and chose to apply Dettol (an antiseptic liquid) with a cotton ball that had been dipped in the solution for 10 minutes. The result was a burn that lasted for a week. Even though that has resolved itself, I am still left with a sufficiently large mark on face. How do I get rid of it?
