Yes there are mild chemical peels you can purchase OTC and many different brands. You'll need to do trial and error to find the one that works best for you.

Hi,
There are some very light over the counter chemical peels. More than a peel, they will do a facial cleanse. There are many brands and are usually safe. Just follow box instructions and precautions. If you are looking for a deep peel the only place would be at a medical office.

You can purchase some types of chemical peels over the counter but they are usually not very effective for most skin problems. I would recommend you come in for a professional peel for best results.

The answer to the issue of safety depends on the strength of the chemical peel. While you should be able to purchase some form of at home chemical peel program, these would be weak in comparison to in office chemical peels because there is some risk with these procedures. Therefore any at home system would need to be relatively safe, which
means not as effective. If you are looking for a cheap alternative for chemical peels, this might be a good way to go. If you are looking for an effective chemical peel, you will probably be wasting your time with an at home solution.
