I need help getting my acne to go away!

When I talk to people I feel like they look at my acne instead of me for who I am. Sometimes I feel ugly, but then I think about how pretty I could be without acne! I want to feel pretty like my friends! HELP!!

options. We recommend tryign the following. They are listed in order

    Hello! I'm 18 years old and I just started taking birth control for my acne. I usually break out pretty bad the week before my menstrual cycle and my skin scars very easily so my skin looks really bad. I am usually able to get clear skin after my period if I wash it and put scar cream, but then I break out and scar again. I was very hesitant to try birth control so I did some research and I got even more scared. I decided to give it a try anyway to see how it would affect my skin and I havent seen a difference at all. If anything my skin is probably a little bit worse. I am on my first pack of the pill.

    I had a pimple on my face and chose to apply Dettol (an antiseptic liquid) with a cotton ball that had been dipped in the solution for 10 minutes. The result was a burn that lasted for a week.
