Laser Hair Removal is proven to be effective against hair that has pigment. Thus, the darker and thicker the hair the better the result and quicker. Hair is destroyed by the laser by the attraction to the pigment with the hair follicle and internal shaft.
Treatments are variable based on the skin and hair color. The energy may be programmed differently to achieve the best overall safe results. Overall, six treatments is average.

The number of treatment sessions required varies from person to person and from machine to machine. Some machines are more effective. Nonetheless, the average range is between 8 and 12 treatment sessions. The treatment interval varies by the area of the body. For area above the neck I recommend treatments every 4 weeks. For areas between the waist and neck I recommend treatments every 6 weeks. For areas below the
waist I recommend treatments every 8 weeks.

Laser Hair Removal generally takes between 5-10 treatments for 75% - 95% permanent hair removal (when it is done correctly). The hair that is easiest to remove is the darkest and thickest, while the most difficult hair to remove is fine and contains less (or no) color. This is where the 75% - 95% range comes in. If hair is left over, it is generally not
very visible because it is thin and colorless.

The interval for body hair removal can be anywhere from 4 weeks to 12 weeks. We tend to stay in the 6-8 week range when performing treatments on multiple body areas.

This depends on the your skin color and the color of your hair, which area is be treated, type of laser used, what settings are used, who is doing the treatment, and from patient to patient. Generally, 6-15 treatments are needed. Treatments are done every 4-6 wks.
