How many FotoFacial/IPL Treatments are required to see results?

This depends upon what is being treated. Some conditions just do not respond to IPL and continued treatment will continue to yield no benefit.

IPL is most effective for treating increased pigmentation from cumulative sun exposure in the outermost layer of the skin, i.e., the epidermis. These Solar Lentigos respond after one treatment, but additional treatments may be helpful. Some forms of Melasma respond to IPL but there are many causes of discoloration that do not respond to IPL. The darker the complexion, the more cautious one has to be using IPL because it can be a cause of discoloration.

While IPL is often used to reduce diffuse redness, 'broken' blood vessels, dilated capillaries, 'spider' angiomas and cherry hemangiomas it is much less effective than a vascular laser, and often IPL will not yield any long-lasting improvement.
