Can restylane be used to treat puffy eyes?

Can Restylane be used on eyes? I am 42 years old and I have puffy bags around my eyes. I thought I would need to have the fat removed but was told to use a filler instead. What is best option for filler type.

Restylane will not treat the puffy eyes but it can help hide it. "Puffy eyes" can be caused by such things as allergies but it sounds more like you have extruded fat pads. As we age we will lose fat in our cheeks and around our eyes. We also can have the fat pads under
our eyes start to bulge out. Sometimes when they are very bad surgical removal of the fat pads will be required. In many case, you can inject Restylane in to the lower border of the fat pads and hide them or make them less noticeable. I tend to inject most of the product deep down on the bone. This has the advantage of giving smoother results and
also tends to be longer lasting than the superficial injection. I like to use Restylane in this area more than other fillers as Juvederm can occasionally draw too much water to the area and cause more puffiness (this happened to my wife) and Radiesse can sometimes be seen through the skin because it is white. Once I have injected the Restylane under
the eyes I will often resurface the lower eye lids to get contraction of the skin if needed.

I personally do not recommend fillers under the eyes because of potential complications. If you decide to still attempt this be sure the physician you see is VERY experienced at injecting around the eyes (such as a cosmetic ophthalmologist). Only have a physician do these injections.

I had a filler six months back, and as the results fade away I would like to get another filler treatment. However, I have developed a small lump under the skin in my laugh line which is not visible, but I can feel it when I press the area. Can I have more filler with the lump still there, or does that need to be addressed first?
