Can I have a Selphyl treatment if I've had skin cancer?

I tried to get a Selphyl treatment but because I tipped the box and told the specialists I had skin cancer, they told me I wasn't able to get the treatment. I really want it. Can I have the Selphyl treatment if I've had skin cancer? Why are they refusing to do the treatment? Are there risks I should be aware of?
