Hand, foot and mouth disease
Caused by Coxsackie A16, A5 and A10 viruses, and other strains, hand, foot and mouth disease is evident clinically after one week of incubation.
Vesicles, evolving into pustules involve the oral mucosa, hands, and feet. The characteristic vesicopustule is oval, with a narrow red rim.
The presence of oval to linear pustules is almost pathognomonic of hand, foot and mouth disease.
Treatment:
- There is no practical treatment for this condition.
