Moles

In medical terms, moles are known as nevi. Most moles appear as small clusters of discolored cells. They are often dark brown spots, and they can appear anywhere on the body. Moles can develop in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. Most often moles are harmless, but in some rare instances they can develop into cancer. For this reason, it is important to carefully monitor moles and be aware of any changes in size, color, or texture as these changes are often the first sign that a mole has become cancerous.
