Liver Spots
Liver Spots are dark, flat spots that develop on the skin as a person ages. They appear in a variety of colors, including reddish brown, tan, dark brown, and black. They range in size from about the head of a pin to the size of a pencil eraser and can appear on any of the body parts which have received sun exposure. This is the reason they are found most often on the face, shoulders, chest, back, arms, and hands. Liver Spots are also designated as sun spots, age spots, lentigos, or lentigines.
