Facial skin rashes are formed as a result of inflammation on the facial skin. Dermatitis is the skin inflammation that occurs on the face and is affected by rashes. 1. Aloe Vera
The gel from Aloe Vera is widely used to treat sunburns, rashes, wounds, itchiness and burns. As it has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, it can inhibit the growth of microorganisms and also reduce the inflammation of the skin. Apart from its healing properties, it is rich in vitamin c, Vitamin E, folic acid and zinc; these micronutrients help you to keep your skin healthy.
Herbs like witch hazel are found to be effective in treating skin inflammation. One ounce of fresh witch hazel bark is simmered in 1 pint of water for 10 minutes. Strain the water and allow it to cool at room temperature. Apply this decoction on the affected area using a clean cloth and leave it for 30 minutes. Then, clean it with plain water.
3. Avoid Allergens
If the skin rashes are formed as a reaction to certain allergens, then find out the cause for allergic reaction. It might be due to your cream, lotion or other make-up cosmetics. Certain food items can also trigger an allergic reaction. Even jewelry or environmental factors like exposure to certain chemicals may stimulate these rashes. To keep rashes under control, avoid allergens known to induce facial skin rashes. Such allergic rashes will subside on their own without any medication.
4. Oatmeal Mask
Take unflavored quick oatmeal or grind the oatmeal into a fine and consistent powder. Take ½ cup of hot water and mix 1/3 cup of ground oatmeal or quick oatmeal in it. Add 2 tbsp of yogurt, 2 tbsp of honey and 1 egg white to this paste and mix it well. Mix the paste evenly without any lumps. Apply this oatmeal facial mask as a thin layer on your face, leaving out the eye area as the skin is very sensitive in this region. Leave the mask for 10 to 15 minutes and wash the face with warm water when the skin feels tight and firm.
5. Chamomile Tea or Baking Soda
- Chamomile tea can be used for washing the face.
- Using baking powder to clean the affected area can reduce the rashes.
Generally, these facial skin rashes are controllable and do not produce much discomfort. However, if these remedies do not give any results, then do not delay in showing the facial rash to the dermatologist for proper medication.
