Albrights Syndrome

Albright's syndrome

Albright's syndrome consists of cafe-au-lait lesions, polyostotic fibrous dysplasia of bones and, in the female, precocious puberty.

The cafe-au-lait macules appear by age 2 and are typically much larger than those seen sporadically or in neurofibromatosis, often being more than 10 cm in diameter.

Bone lesions can produce pain.

Perhaps half of females develop puberty before age 5.
